Women to learn golf

A new golf book for women incorporating the mind, body, spirit and heart of a women's game and life. A common theme running throughout the book and the game of golf is the symbol of the circle. Learning the wisdom inherent in the circle can become a key to unlock the inner hero. In the coming years women will need to draw upon their own inner strength and courage to free themselves from society's man-made laws and to turn back towards the lessons in nature and the natural rhythms and cycles that are within us and everything.

Many women fail to recognize and acknowledge these cycles because of the linear time-line we are conditioned to live by and to a great extent we have suffered because of this. There is a way to move away from the pain of separateness and reconnect back to viewing the earth and our bodies as hallowed ground. This can happen through learning powerful Yoga philosophies and poses(asanas), ancient Feminine mysteries (secrets) and creative play that reconnects you to your self, spirit and nature.

Let's look at the relationship to the circle in golf and our lives through history and for the modern woman. For centuries women of many cultures have met on the half, new, and Full Moon. In this way they could support each other in deepening their understanding of themselves, others, the Gods, the Goddesses and the cycles of the Earth. Some gathered in temples, ruins, churches, teepees, yurts, tents and others created sacred circles in nature to honor the changing of the seasons with the equinox's, solstices and cross quarter celebrations.

When we connect with nature and are truly present with it, we find ourselves again, and recognize the teachings that we are interconnected with all life on this planet. The circle or orb is an ancient shape that provides human-kind with a sense of completion. It denotes sacred space; it represents cycles - women's cycles, the cycle of life, the cycle of change, the cycle of creativity, the cycle of the golf course. The golf ball is an orb, just like the earth, Venus, Mars and the stars. It is the center of the game. Women are more tuned into cycles and circular formats.

We live by our cycles, we speak in circular formats, and we spiral outward with our energy, and spiral back into our bodies with each monthly cycle. Our bodies are vessels made up of circles. This is why we are so tuned in to emotional cycles, nature's cycle, the cycles of the moon, fire, water and spirit, from which we are inspired to create. The Golf Course is a cycle. And with its many qualities and challenges it stimulates us to move through it, facing the challenges, learning its course and increasing our skills and abilities.

Each challenge is viewed as a teacher; we will never come to an end of the line and say "I've got the lesson" be it patience, persistence, positive thinking. No, we don't travel in a straight line of progress, the lessons come back to be learned at a deeper and deeper level revealing the hero in us. A Golf Goddess challenges herself on the course. She understands that each hole represents an aspect of the overall cycle she has entered into. Unlike the traditional male model of golf which is linear, competitive and encourages one to "dominate", the female model of golf is circular, co-operative and encouraging one to "grow" and strengthen their power within, not their power over.

We grow into Golfing Goddesses by looking within, by looking at nature with new eyes, by seeing our sisters as mirrors of our feminine self and by using our imaginations. We carry the female vibration and the male vibration inside all of us, the wonderful part is when we are consciously choosing which vibe to bring forth at different times and for different situations, we grow to full maturity. I am asking you to bring forth the female vibe while playing. Look at the successful men who call upon their female vibe to create success in golf. Tiger Woods and Vijah Sing, both have roots in the feminine vibe traditions of Asia and India. Once we can let go of control, the ego & masculine way and be open and willing to 'go with the flow' the feminine vibe, a different rhythm of energy unfolds and guides us, the fun will be in all the adventures along the way.
