Better Trades - Resist The Seduction

This article, while not a review of Better Trades, (for an excellent short review of Better Trades with a recommended different and safer way to earn extra income go to the following link: Better Trades Review) will try to shed light on the corporate culture, strategy and tactics used to reel in the unsuspecting novice traders at Better Trades.

For a moment pretend you really want to earn extra income (maybe not so far fetched for many of us...myself included) and you've decided to attend a free Better Trades introductory seminar. Now, you know what you want to hear....that learning to trade, if taught in a simple and straight forward way, is really no that complicated. Most important, you want to hear that even you can do this. Better Trades preys on this human desire to feel capable of trading by essentially saying you can do this. Some can do this, most can't, all will fork over thousands to Better Trades for the chance.

Listen, I hate to break this to you...but not everyone has the mind set of a stock trader. In fact very few do. That doesn't matter to Better Trades. They'll take everyone! Their corporate culture revolves around one dominant personality: Freddie Rick. Freddie wants your money...that's what makes this guy tick. Rick is a classic good 'ol country boy...and he plays that string with gusto. He often mentions how he wasn't very good in school and if he can successfully trade anyone can.

In addition to the lure of Mr. Rick's likeable personality is a corporate culture that is "Las Vegas Slick". It's ironic that Better Trades is based in Las Vegas. Mr. Rick has made sure the audio and visual aspects to Better Trades are without flaw, just like a Las Vegas show! When Rick's on camera the lighting, the plants on the stage, his hair, the colors behind him are all perfect. Give him credit...he works hard, it shows and it's easy for the naive to just sit there and believe it all.

The problem is Better Trades is targeting an audience that wants to understand the stock market but frankly 99% have no business playing in that arena....but they do anyway....why??? Because they're seduced by the Better Trades line & image. An image that has been carefully carfted by Mr.Rick.
